About me
Amit is a seasoned leader with 24 years of experience leading strategic initiatives, global business and alliances in technology companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100. He is passionate about developing and leading diverse and cross functional teams to achieve bold and “think big” goals across India at global scale. Currently, Amit is Head of GSI & IT/ITeS segment at AWS and is part of the leadership team (LT) at India. His business portfolio consists of global solution providers, and he owns the charter for partnering with these providers in their digital transformation pursuits and executing successful “get to market” strategy with them on a global basis. His organization works closely with GSIs & IT/ITeS companies in jointly driving cloud strategy including driving joint solutions and IP/platform strategies across industry verticals globally. His earlier experience with other organizations like VMWare & Juniper has been in leadership roles spanning India, ASEAN and East Asia across strategic alliances, technology and geo sales. He has been pivotal in setting up new business / regions and building diverse team for driving go to market with both customers and partners.
A Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) from Indian Institute of Technology IIT (ISM), Dhanbad and MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Mumbai, Amit is an avid reader and an always ready traveler. Amit is currently based out of Mumbai, India.
