About me
Aveek is the Co-Founder and Managing Director at Gloplax. Aveek is a seasoned global executive who has spent over 25 years working in various roles in the financial services industry. Aveek has set up and led GICs of two international banks. He played a pivotal role in establishing and leading the offshore delivery program for Wells Fargo. He was an Executive Vice President and the Managing Director of Wells Fargo bank’s Enterprise Global Services. His expertise lies in all aspects of global sourcing (offshoring) and delivery with multinational financial institutions.
In his role at Wells Fargo, he was responsible for a team of 25,000+ resources comprising of Wells Fargo team members and vendor resources across seven countries in Asia, North & South America. Aveek provided leadership in setting the strategic vision and direction for Wells Fargo’s offshoring initiative. He leveraged his broad-based offshoring experience in order to start and grow the technology, business services and knowledge services operations. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Aveek was Chief Technologist with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group; working across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and India, where he delivered technology services for the bank.
He is an engineering graduate of Jadavpur University, India, and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute. Aveek has served on boards of multiple companies across the world. Additionally, he is an active member of the industry and has been instrumental in establishing the Captive/GCC community in India. He also holds two patents in the US for banking experience.
