Divakaran is a seasoned technology leader with 29 years of experience in IT, cloud services, and digital transformation. He has a proven track record of building and leading large-scale technical teams across solution architecture, pre-sales, transition, and service delivery. His expertise spans cloud computing, AI/ML, Generative AI, IT infrastructure services, and enterprise modernization.
Currently, Divakaran is the Head of Solution Architecture - Global Service Integrators (GSI) & IT/ITeS Segment at Amazon Web Services (AWS) India, where he leads a team of solution architects advising enterprise customers on cloud transformation, AI/ML, data analytics, and industry-specific solutions. He works closely with CxO leadership to shape technology strategies and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
Before AWS, Divakaran held several executive leadership roles at Kyndryl and IBM, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling cloud migration and modernization practice and leading global cloud offering and engineering teams .
With a strong background in cloud solutions, digital transformation, and IT operations, Divakaran has been instrumental in designing repeatable, scalable cloud frameworks, IT modernization strategies, and managed services models. His expertise in negotiating high-stakes executive engagements and turning around underperforming accounts has helped organizations drive impactful business outcomes.
Divakaran holds a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Calicut and an MBA with a dual specialization in High Technology and Finance from Northeastern University, Boston. He is also a Certified AWS Solutions Architect and has completed multiple leadership and technical certifications in cloud architecture, Generative AI, and IT transformation.
