Mr. Rajeev Sonthalia joined the Aditya Birla Group as Director, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, in April 2023. In this role he led the strategic and new business initiatives for the Aditya Birla Group. Effective September 2024, as Director of the Group’s B2B e-commerce platform, Birla Pivot and as Director of Birla Carbon he oversees the group’s interest in both these sectors. He also holds the post of Executive Director, Aditya Birla Management Corporation Private Limited, the apex decision- making body of the Aditya Birla Group.
Rajiv worked in the Oil and Gas industry with Schlumberger (SLB) for over 31 years, where he held various leadership roles across several business with both regional as well as global responsibilities. His last role at SLB was President, Digital & Integration, where he led the company’s effort to grow and scale its digital business, with customer within and beyond Oil and Gas, leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Industrial Internet of Things. In this role he served on the company’s Executive Management Leadership Team.
