As the global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Ecosystems, Vijay Guntur spearheads HCLTech’s Cloud, Business and Service transformation strategy to enable the company help clients to stay ahead of the curve and meet their business objectives.
He is responsible for the establishment and adoption of global centralized practices such as Data & AI, GenAI, IT/OT, ecommerce and centers of excellence (CoEs) encompassing Software and Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering and Testing. He drives CloudSMART, HCLTech's comprehensive cloud offering as well the HCLTech ecosystem units fostering collaboration and innovation with cloud Hyperscalers, tech OEMs and semiconductor chip companies
Prior to his current role, Vijay led HCLTech's Engineering and R&D Services (ERS), a $2 B global business, and was responsible for forging the leadership positioning of the ERS business globally. As a champion of groundbreaking tech and responsible growth, Vijay oversaw the overall strategy and evolution of the GenAI and sustainability business for ERS. He led the initiative to build Silicon-to-Cloud Platform solutions which involved forging innovative partnerships focused on intellectual property and implementing GenAI in chip design. Additionally, Vijay played a key role in establishing the ATMP Lab, a vital resource supporting India's burgeoning semiconductor ecosystem.
He’s a passionate advocate for ID&E, and champions key programs that bring HCLTech and its client organizations together in an ecosystem that strives for value, respect and opportunities for all. During his distinguished 30+ year career at HCLTech, he has played a pivotal role in creating an equitable and neuro- diverse workspace by leading various initiatives like Next Gen Leadership (NGL).
